38% to 41%.... Barack Obama is teetering in the approval ratings. How is it possible? How is it that republican policy has crippled this country, plunged us into wars so large corporations can rebuild foreign countries, and increased our debt beyond what we can pay, better than Obama?

I will for one say Obama could've done more to put his own stamp on 'how things are done'. But inr eality all we've seen is status quo for the most part.

He had a chance, blew it, but it still doesn't change the fact the idiocy of the Bush years will take years upon years to fix.

Let's not go backwards come election time next year. We need better ideas, and the people with the guts to implement. No, that's not your run of the mill Republican either, those guys can't even put their best candidate forward because of internal politics.

Signs of Republican Policy Crippling the Economy

Regan started the move to decentralization. That meant the regulated industries that protected the interests of Americans were sold off to private corporations. Now, of course the efficiency in some of the industries was poor, hence the argument to deregulate. However, what has been the result on local jobs?

Take California, the nation's largest state, and the effect deregulation has had on the number of employed persons in the manufacturing industry.

Long before any economic destruction we can see a steady decline in the # of jobs in the manufacturing sector. Where did they all go? Well, deregulation means private firms have little regulation, duh, but also they can do whatever they want to get the lowest possible price and also the highest revenues.

That of course means taking jobs from Americans and giving it to the Chinese or the Indians.

That's where deregulation has taken us, the complete loss of the manufacturing sector. I could show other states with similar trends, but that would be pointless. Republican policy directly benefits CHinese workers while crippling Americans.

According to Republicans any way to cut the deficit must only be a reduction in taxes to the already rich. That's right, the rich pay less to help the rest of us out. What idiot votes for stupid Republicans? They're literally contributing to the mess we're stuck in. Please, why wont these people work with the rest of the country? Better yet, why hasn't the normal masses risen up to combat the theft courtesy of Republicans. Oh wait, that's what they want, everyone to do nothing but slowly lose their jobs and savings. At least the right will have lower taxes.

Trump Loses Face Over Certificate Fiasco

We know he has bad hair, but if the best the Republicans can put forward is a narcissist like Trump, or a bumpkin like Palin, well we'll have another 4 years of Obama. While Trump was busy trying to conjure up a media circus around the 'long form' of Obama's Hawaii birth certificate, if for no other reason than to plaster his face on TV a bit more, Obama was at work.

Think about it, whether you like Obama or not, while Trump was masquerading around in a private helicopter for photo ops, Obama was protection national security. The same week that Trump insisted on the certificate Obama was readying the troops for an operation on Osama.

One is a yahoo, albeit a smart multi millionaire yahoo, th eother was working in the interests of the American people.

Obama was working for us, Trump was working for himself and his vain attempts to get nominated to run in the election *maybe*.

And if you think Trump did us a service by wasting everyone's time on the birth certificate issue then you're a flat out moron.

A Fox News Poll found that 55 percent of voters approve and 41 percent disapprove Obama's job performance.

Before the raid, 47 percent approved and 47 percent disapproved (April 25-27) his job performance.

Yes, the numbers are going down, as they do with all Presidency's, but the fact remains he just won the next election with his 'victory' over the #1 most wanted terrorist/man in the world.

It goes without saying, the rise in immigration, particularly the hispanic demographic into California, will give the Democrats a fighting chance of unseating Republicans in the 2012 election. That's not the only hope, but the latest census data suggests that the state's population is almost equal when it comes to the white and Hispanic demographic (38% v 40%).

Interesting change, and also a sign of things to come in elections to come because that scale is only tipping in favor of Hispanics, and for the most part, Democrats as well.

Republicans think they can take the next election from under the nose of Obama. Do you think they can?

Here's the thing, unless we have someone out of left field (right field I mean), Republicans are leader less.

I think a front runner will emerge, and they will take the reigns of the parties push in 2012 (remember it was 2-3 years before the last election that the race really heated up).

But I can guarantee Republicans lose if Palin gets on board. That's just a joke HAHA, Actually I think they're smarter than that. :P

Latino voters continue to support the President and his Democrats. however, the growing sentiment is the support for Democrats is growing thin, and is taking a shape of 'anything but Republican'. More engagement for the latino voter base is necessary since "the best of the worst" is not a firm foundation to build a political voice.

Voter ID legislation passes. Another step towards discrimination (I should say another step backwards....)

Now, many states, and other nations, they have had picture ID in place for ages, it's not a problem, and makes complete sense. The issue in Texas is that to implement the voter ID element now only affects those who may be less inclined to vote if they have no official picture ID. We're talking about the elderly, minorities, and the poor. Furthermore, Texas doesn't have an issue of voter fraud.....

Arm yourself with information. One reason why I despise Republicans is because of the atmosphere of Hate, Racism, and In-Equality they create. Republicans run on a platform of fear. During the 2004 and 2006 election they got everyone riled up against Gay Rights. It was so crazy for me as a Gay Male to see so much hatred towards Gays during those election years.

Now it's staring all over again with the Immigration Debate. They preach so much fear that before you know it, you have entire populations of Republicans in the south scared and hating Hispanics.

Here is a good example of the fruits of the Republican Labor.
